Pastor faces N20m fraud charge

The Delta State Police Command said that it had arraigned one Pastor Victor Osakwe on the Asaba Justice of the Peace court docket  for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting victims of more than N20m.

The Command’s acting Public members of the family Officer, Charles Muka, informed the news company of Nigeria in Asaba that the pastor defrauded more than 20 folks of money and homes.

Muka also alleged that Osakwe was once a pretend pastor at the Holy Hill Zion Prophetic and resolution Ministry, Akwu Ofu, Asaba.

“Osakwe has been arraigned on 20 counts which incorporated incessantly defrauding over 20 individuals of a complete of N20m.

“The Pastor’s mode of operation is to boost false alarm on death and drawing close calamity on his unsuspecting victims to make them part with their vehicles and monies,” the police spokesman stated.

He mentioned that Osakwe had been remanded in the jail, adding that objects recovered from him included two SUVs, saloon vehicles, among different items.
