They don’t need the disintegration of Nigeria; they don’t even need confederation. we want a united Nigeria and energy should be shared in a method that encourages solidarity and construction.

“Some people are saying the national conference must be a convention of ethnic nationalities. They imagine Nigeria is made of ethnic nationalities, but that is mistaken. Nigeria just isn’t made of ethnic nationalities. it is made from electorate.”

On the controversy over the existence of a minority document on the nationwide convention, Musa said any record out of doors the file submitted to the President with the aid of the Femi Okurounmu-led committee, was once beside the point.

“The report of any one now could be inappropriate since the simplest document, which is relevant, is the file of the presidential committee. The committee used to be mandated to suggest a modality for conducting the nationwide convention. thus far, Nigerians are not considering what the committee says but they’re concerned with what the President says, as a result of it is the President’s committee,” he mentioned.

Musa said from his analysis, the plan for the national conference was nonetheless heading in the right direction and will have to be allowed to play out to completion.

Reacting to the plan through the Ethnic Nationalities motion and The Patriots, to convoke a conference on ethnic nationalities to foreshadow the nationwide conference, Musa stated in step with the tenets of democracy, it was once vital to permit all teams make their inputs.

He said, “We must recognize basic human rights. The minority, who need the nationwide convention to be in accordance with ethnic nationalities, are saying they want to grasp their own conference on ethnic nationalities, before the national convention. that’s all right, they must be allowed to do so. that you would be able to argue for or towards, but you can’t deny them the suitable to do that. In democracy, they say the bulk has its manner, however the minority has its say.”
