Club owners in the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) have said that they are yet to get full details of the new TV rights deal,signed by the League Management Committee.
The LMC on Monday announced a mouthwatering four-year deal with Supersports,for its TV rights from 2015- 2019 seasons.
Acting secretary of the club owners, Alloy Chukwuemeka,denied that they have full knowledge of the deal worth N5.1billion($34m)
“The club owners only got the hint of such plans by the LMC in the course of their previous interactions but are yet to receive official details,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN)
“We will support any deal that will better and leverage our clubs as long as the deal falls within our belief without infringing on our rights and laws,’’ Chukwuemeka said.
